FRP Lining

Corrosion-Resistant Solution for Industrial Lining :

FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) lining is used to protect equipment and structures from chemical corrosion, moisture, and environmental exposure. Applied over base materials such as MS (Mild Steel) and SS (Stainless Steel), FRP lining creates a durable barrier that extends equipment life and reduces maintenance in aggressive operating conditions.

Unlike conventional coatings, FRP lining provides both chemical resistance and structural reinforcement, making it suitable for long-term industrial use.

What Makes Our FRP Lining Different :

The effectiveness of FRP lining depends on resin selection, laminate buildup, and surface preparation. We focus on controlled application and consistent laminate quality to ensure reliable protection on metal substrates.

Features Our Advantage
Composite Lining : Reinforced laminate for strength and durability.
Substrate Compatibility : Suitable for MS and SS equipment.
Chemical Resistance : Handles acids, alkalis, salts, and corrosive media.
Strong Adhesion : Proper surface preparation ensures long-term bonding.
Uniform Thickness : Even coverage for predictable corrosion protection.

Resin Options Used in FRP Lining :

  • General Purpose (GP) Resin : Suitable for mild chemical exposure and ambient temperatures upto ~ 60°C. Commonly used for non-critical industrial applications where basic corrosion protection is required.

  • Isophthalic Resin : Offers better chemical resistance and mechanical strength than GP resin. Suitable for moderate chemical environments and temperatures up to ~80–90°C.

  • Vinyl Ester Resin : Provides excellent resistance to a wide range of acids, alkalis, and solvents. Suitable for aggressive chemical applications and higher operating temperatures, typically up to ~100–120°C.

  • Super Vinyl Ester Resin : Designed for highly corrosive media and elevated temperatures. Used in severe chemical environments where long-term durability and higher temperature resistance are required, typically up to ~120–140°C.

  • Bisphenol Resin : Offers outstanding resistance to strong acids, alkalis, and oxidizing chemicals. Suitable for high-temperature and highly corrosive applications, often used in chlor-alkali and pickling processes.

Key Advantages :

  • Excellent resistance to corrosion and chemicals.

  • Provides both protection and structural reinforcement.

  • Performs well in wet, outdoor, and aggressive environments.

  • Lightweight lining with minimal load on base equipment.

  • Long service life with reduced maintenance.

Applications & Industries :

FRP lining is widely used where corrosion protection and equipment reliability are critical.

  • Chemical Processing : Tanks, sumps, containment pits.

  • Water & Wastewater Treatment : Channels, treatment tanks.

  • Power & Energy : Cooling water systems, utility equipment.

  • Mining & Minerals : Slurry tanks, pits and containment zones.

  • Industrial Storage : Chemical storage vessels and bins.

  • Infrastructure & Civil Works : Drainage channels, exposed concrete protection.
