Air Pollution Control System

Integrated Gas Treatment Systems for Industrial Emission Control :

Air Pollution Control Systems (APCS) are designed to capture, treat, and neutralize harmful gases, fumes, vapors, and particulate matter generated during industrial processes. Built using corrosion-stable thermoplastic and composite materials, these systems provide long-term reliability in aggressive chemical environments.

An effective APC system is not a single component but a combination of engineered equipment working together to ensure controlled emission levels and regulatory compliance.

System Components :

Our Air Pollution Control Systems typically include :

  • Venchury : Used to increase gas velocity and improve gas–liquid interaction for efficient particulate and contaminant removal.

  • Scrubber Unit : Primary gas treatment chamber where harmful gases are neutralized through liquid contact and chemical reaction.

  • Blower : Maintains required airflow and pressure balance throughout the system, ensuring continuous exhaust movement.

  • Pump : Circulates scrubbing liquid or chemical solution within the system for consistent treatment performance.

  • Pall Ring (Packing Media) : Provides increased surface area inside scrubbers to enhance gas–liquid contact efficiency.

  • Perforation Plates : Used for uniform distribution of liquid or airflow within the system to improve treatment consistency.

  • Water / Chemical Spray System : Ensures proper dispersion of neutralizing or cooling liquids for effective gas treatment and temperature control.

Material Options & Operating Temperature Ranges :

APC systems are fabricated using materials selected based on gas composition, temperature, moisture content, and system size.

  • PP (Polypropylene Copolymer) : Used for general air handling and mildly corrosive emissions. Suitable for ambient to moderate temperatures up to 80–90°C.

  • PPH (Polypropylene Homopolymer) : Provides higher rigidity and improved chemical resistance. Commonly used in chemical exhaust and scrubber systems operating up to 90–100°C.

  • PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) : Preferred for highly corrosive and aggressive gas streams. Offers excellent chemical resistance with stable performance up to 120–150°C, depending on system design.

  • HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) : Used for low-pressure and moisture-rich exhaust applications. Suitable for ambient temperature operation up to 60–70°C.

  • PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) : Applied in low-temperature gas handling and ventilation systems. Performs reliably up to 60°C.

  • FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) : Provides structural strength and corrosion resistance. Suitable for ambient to moderate temperatures, depending on resin selection.

  • PP–FRP Lined Construction : Combines chemical resistance of polypropylene with structural strength of FRP. Used in medium to large APC systems operating at moderate temperatures.

  • HDPE–FRP Lined Construction : Offers abrasion resistance with added rigidity. Suitable for ambient temperature APC applications.

  • MS–FRP Lined Construction : Used where high structural strength is required. Mild steel provides mechanical support, while FRP lining protects against corrosion in ambient service conditions.
